Dalmark Grain Ltd Acquires Barnes &
Maney Ltd
To
provide a high level of service to growers of combinable crops in
Eastern England
grain merchants Barnes & Maney Ltd of Ramsey and Dalmark Grain Ltd of
Eye near
Peterborough have reached an agreement.
With effect from 1st
July Dalmark Grain will purchase the goodwill and contractual
commitments of Barnes
& Maney Ltd. To ensure continuity of trading Rodney Barnes
and John Maney
together with Cliff Bowd will become sole agents for Dalmark Grain.
“The combined businesses will allow us to provide both a higher level of
service to our
grower suppliers in Cambridgeshire and surrounding counties and to our
end user
customers in the UK and abroad.” says John Hill, Managing Director,
Dalmark Grain.
“With a larger tonnage of grain to trade we shall be able to market our
growers grain
more effectively and also develop our already strong position in the pea
and bean
markets to give end
users better continuity of quality crops from the locality.”
