New Seed Treatment Applicator & Screenings Bins for Seed Plant

As part of Daltons on going programme of investment this summer see's the installation of a new Vanguard seed treatment applicator on one of the two seed processing lines at Daltons seed plant in Eye, near Peterborough.

"This latest Vanguard includes many improvements over the machine it replaces including an improved and faster weigher  which will increase throughput over the previous system" said Production Director, Peter Fox.

"The use of flow metre pumps and a new monitoring system means an even more accurate application of seed treatment chemicals to meet the exacting demands of both the chemical manufacturers and farmer customers alike" he added.

The purchase of this latest Vanguard means Daltons maintain their independence when it comes to choice of chemicals allowing the company to offer only the best range of seed treatments available to their farmer customers.

This summer will also see the installation of more screenings bins which will add more versatility to the plant and the management of the diverse range of seeds that Daltons now produce.
