Taphouse produces very good and consistent yields both treated and untreated and in HGCA treated trials (2002-2006) Taphouse has been yielding at the same level as the newly recommended variety Publican.

 Taphouse has good all round disease resistance but a managed fungicide treatment is always recommended.
 
Taphouse has similar straw height to Optic (73cm) and moderate straw strength. It has a specific weight of 68.3 Kg/hl similar to the leading feed varieties.
